In October 2005 we realized a street installation in Beirut. The Kantian Questions were shown first of all in the languages spoken by major groups or by bigger minority groups, Arabic, English, French, Armenian, Amharic and Tagalog. The campaign's emphasis were Hamra Quarter and the universities and institutions taking part of the project, f.e. AUB (American University Beirut), USJ (Université St. Joseph), Evangelical Congregation Beirut and Haigazian University Beirut. We are pleased that Libanese billboard company Pikasso made available free of charge 10 large size billboards.
"Kant enlightens": In cooperation with Heinrich Böll Foundation, Middle East Office Beirut, we organized a symposion on Kant's Questions in Beirut in October 2005. Philosophers of five universities of Beirut started a cultural and scientific dialogue of the Arab and European World and showed in very different lectures ways to a classic and an up to date understanding on Kant's philosophy.
